Mathews Genesis Mini Review

The Bottom Line: Weighing only 2 pounds and having the draw weight range of only 6 to 12 lbs, the Mathews Genesis Mini is an ideal bow for small kids from 3 to 8 years old. Admittedly, this is a very well built bow with quality components. That is why it has a very good resale value, meaning it will be less expensive to upgrade down the road. With the zero let-off, the bow is extremely flexible - no extra cams or modules are required to shoot the bow at draw lengths from 14 to 25 inches. In addition, the Mini Genesis is built using the same proven technologies as the original Genesis - an official bow used in NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program). Overall, this is a high quality and extremely popular compound bow suitable for young shooters from 3 to 8 years old...read full review

Martin Tiger Review

The Bottom Line: The Martin Tiger is a very affordable youth bow suitable for small kids. This bow has been manufactured for more than a decade now and has 2 different styles: the original Martin Tiger (Mini Z cam) built until 2007 and the newer Martin Tiger (T-Pro Cam) manufactured from 2008. While both bows suitable for small kids, the newer Martin Tiger is specifically designed for smaller kids from 4 to 8 years old. The newer modification of the Tiger is considered to be one of the safest youth bows out there. This popular rig received a lot of very positive feedback from many parents who say their kids enjoy shooting the Tiger. While the factory strings could be of better quality and the draw weight adjustments are coarse-grained, overall the Tiger is a very affordable and good little bow suitable for smaller kids from 4 to 8 years old (new Tiger manufactured from 2008)...read full review

Diamond Nuclear Ice Review

The Bottom Line: The Diamond Nuclear Ice is one of the best youth bows suitable for small kids from 4 to 10 years old. A lot of experts and archery enthusiasts agree this is one of the best youth bows on the market. They say the Nuclear Ice is a very well made bow that delivers exceptional performance and has a nice look and feel. Although this is a youth bow, it looks "like a Dad's bow" due to beyond parallel limbs, fully machined aluminum riser, and efficient cam system. Being extremely adjustable, the bow does not require a bow press or additional modules for changing the draw length. Overall, the Nuclear Ice comes with a very low price tag, yet it is one of the best quality youth bows out there...read full review
