| Summary Summary review written by our editors. | The Hoyt Vantage Pro is the standard-riser answer to the Shoot-Through Vantage Elite - same 41-inch axle-to-axle, same 301 and 308 fps IBO across its launch cams, same XT2000 limbs and 4.8-pound mass, but a genuinely different bow in the hand. Its long riser holds like a target bow should, and owners repeatedly call it more forgiving than the Elite; its machined-aluminum integrated grip carries straight over from Hoyt's tournament-winning Elite Series; and the 2010 build adds Stealth Shot to quiet the shot. The Cam & 1/2 Plus gives a smooth, tunable draw while the Spiral X delivers speed and a super-hard wall, and real-world numbers - 286 fps at 317 grains and 57 pounds, mid-to-upper 280s on the Spiral X at a 28-inch draw - confirm it hits well for its brace height. No official Hoyt launch price survives in the record, though period references placed the bare bow in the flagship-target tier around $900 to $1,000; the Vantage Pro ran three model years, 2009 through 2011, and today it is a used-market competition bow. What I keep coming back to is the hold - the long riser and fixed grip make it feel planted at full draw, so the shot is about you. An excellent bow for the target and field archer who wants Vantage-platform stability without the Shoot-Through riser and who shoots the integrated grip well. Buyers who prioritize a more compact, damping-focused target platform should also look at the Bowtech Specialist, and those chasing PSE-style target speed should also look at the PSE Supra Focus. Read full review... | The Bowtech Specialist is a very high performance up and coming target bow. A long axle to axle, a good brace height and great IBO speed are all ingredients that make a great target bow that is very forgiving and capable of competing with some of the top target bows of the world. The Specialist uses a binary cam system making it a smooth drawing bow that is easy to adjust and has virtually no timing issues. Tuning may need to be done by a professional but once it is set up there should be no problems keeping it that way. With a number of color options to choose from, it's a bow that can look good while putting great numbers up on the score card. Read full review... | No editors' review yet. | ||
