Editors' review

Elite made a mad dash into the archery world several years ago with their Shootability Challenge, highlighting huge let-off percentages, massive dwell zones, and some of the most solid back walls ever felt. Shortly after that, droves or shooters flocked to the target side of the Elite brand to shoot Elite target bows for the very same reasons. Despite all the love Elite and their target bows have seen since the beginning of their popularity, the 2020 Elite Rezult may be the best target bow Elite has ever created. The riser, cams, grip, limb pockets, and tuning are all brand new for 2020, with a familiar feel to what put Elite on the map in the first place. The new ASYM TriTrack Cams offer different let-off options, a huge draw length range, great speeds, and an option for the Elite limb stop or a brand new cable stop system. There are so many different configurations and tuning capabilities with the Rezult, shooters are able to fine tune the exact feeling they want from their rig, and very easily tune the bow in order to get the best arrow flight for their personal set up and arrow configuration. The Elite Rezult comes at a premium, and that $1550 price tag may be hard for some shooters to spend. However, that is a competitive price for a high end target bow, and those interested are more than likely fairly serious shooters willing to spend money on a bow that fits them in order to increase their chances of winning in tournaments.

Finish

The Rhinodized finish from Elite was made for target shooters. The finish is a bit more durable, and leaves the bow in truly outstanding condition right out of the box. Target shooter's bows travel a lot, and require a durable finish on the outdoor 3D ranges, so this finish is exactly what many demand. The color options for the Rezult are awesome as well. It may be difficult for shooters to choose just one. Rhinodized finishes are available in Graphite Gray, Purple Rain, Cobalt Blue, Copper Flame, Laguna Teal, Sour Apple, and Silver Alloy. Ninja Black is also available, but it is in the standard outdoor finish. This option still looks great, and will last as well, but many shooters appreciate the Rhinodized process a bit more for longevity reasons. Overall, eight finish options are enough to give target folks a variety of options. Unfortunately, most shops carrying Elite are not going to have a Rezult in stock, and if a shop does, they will more than likely not have all the colors a shooter may be interested in seeing beforehand. The Elite website has some great pictures, and there are some videos of pro shooters with their Rezult's out in the wild, but it will be tough to make the decision on which bow to get based on an in-person evaluation.

Riser

The riser on the new Rezult is pretty similar to what the previous versions of the Elite target rigs have looked like the last several years with the dual cage design above and below the grip, integrated grip into the riser, and the shape and location of the cutouts in general. Despite come similarities to previous models looks and technology, the Rezult is a new riser platform for Elite. The Rezult is a beast of a bow at 37 3/4 -inches axle-to-axle although it has a pretty light mass weight of only 4.7-pounds thanks for the engineered cutouts. There are hunting bows on the markets 7-7-inches shorter weighing the exact same as the Rezult. For target shooters, a lightweight starting point is ideal because it allows shooters to add weight exactly where they need it with their front and back bars. The technology wrapped into the riser is pretty great as well. The S2S Cable Guide System is pretty sweet. This slide is completely adjustable side to side, which helps shooters tweak everything to the exact arrow and vane configuration of their individual setups. The cable slide is not a roller system, and some may feel the difference, but for most shooters it is going to perform flawlessly and being able to fine tune for each shooter is always an option target archers will appreciate. The Rezult riser also has a front and rear stabilizer mounting bushing, with the back bar mounting location a bit lower on the riser. The string stop system works great as well, and stops the string from making too much noise and unnecessary vibration after the arrow is released. Shooters will also appreciate double mounting holes in the riser to keep the rest as securely fastened to the riser as possible to prevent minor bumps from moving the rest out of whack.

Grip

The Rezult also gets the new grip design offered on the other 2020 Elite rigs. The Elite grip has gone through some changes from its earliest design, but the latest installment may be the best of them all. The grip keeps the shooters hand in wrist in an ergonomically correct position with a pretty neutral wrist location. This makes it very easy to have the same grip shot after shot, and also makes it comfortable for shooters to practice without causing any undo pain or stress on their bow wrist. The grip is a bit more narrow than previous models as well, which is turning into a trendy design on many bows. The back of the grip is an almost perfect combination of having a flat back grip, with just a little bit of contour for added comfort. Where the shooter's grip hand meets the shelf is a bit contoured as well, and fairly comfortable considering the grip is the same aluminum as the riser. Some may prefer to add a little grip tape to give the handle a bit more texture to prevent slipping around, but the shape and design are just about perfect.

Limbs

Elite transferred over to the split limb technology a bit later than some other companies, but they have done a nice job with their designs, and the Rezult continues to utilize split limb technology for storing all the energy, which is later transferred into the arrow. The limbs are available in a total of five different peak weight limb configurations, which should give most shooters the exact draw weight they prefer. The peak weights available for the Rezult are 40, 50, 55, 60, and 70-pounds. It is interesting to see Elite dropping the 65-pound limbs for the 55-pounders, but for a target and 3D bow, the 55-pound peak weight may be more popular of an overall offering than the 65's. The limbs are black on all the finish options for the Rezult, and feature very simple limb graphics and decals showing Elite, the name of the bow, and a small design. The limb pockets are fully redesigned for 2020, and really offers some state of the art technology integration for super tuning arrow flight to specific shooters without the need for a bow press. The Stabilock Pocket System features a wider stance than previous models, and tightens the limbs to the pockets, and the pockets to the riser with absolute perfection with absolutely no slob whatsoever. Although that may not be an Earth shattering upgrade, the Simplified Exact Tuning (S.E.T.) is. The S.E.T. technology allows shooters to change the angle of the limbs, which ultimately changes the angle of the cams for perfection in any type of tuning method shooters prefer, without having to shim cams, although that is still an option for larger adjustments if necessary. The S.E.T. technology truly is a game changer. Anytime a bow can be effectively tuned without the need for a bow press or specialized tools, shooters have a level of interest and gratitude. There are even markings near the adjustment for shooters to know without a doubt how they need to move the system in order to get the desired results for a proper tune for their own setup.

Eccentric System

With all the innovation already brought into the Rezult for 2020, shooters may be even more shocked to know the cam system is redesigned as well. Elite engineers created an all new Asym Tri Track Cam system, which on the Rezult has a draw length range from 24-31-inches. Unlike other Elite bows in the past, the new cam also has a rotating module, capable of the half-inch adjustments for the entire draw length range instead of needing a specific module as in previous model years. Again, Elite is offering technology shooters can utilize without the need of a bow press. The cams produce a fair amount of performance as well with an IBO speed rating of 325 feet per second. The innovation for the new cams does not stop at a slightly different draw force curve and a new integrated draw length module design. The engineers also made it possible for shooters to choose how the valley and back wall feel as well. Elite is offering their standard rock hard back wall with a limb stop draw stop system. This will feel most familiar to die hard Elite shooters. However, Elite is also offering a cable stop draw stop option for shooters that do not necessarily want a super firm back wall feeling. This is another addition, adjustable without a bow press, which allows shooters to fine tune how they want their Rezult to feel, which may be entirely different than how another shooter wants their Rezult to feel. Shooters can also adjust the amount of let off they want from 70-90% with 4 separate adjustments roughly 5% difference from setting to setting. Everything about the draw force curve is customizable, and for tinkering target shooters, who want everything just perfect, the Elite Rezult is a truly amazing option in 2020.

Draw Cycle/Shootability

The Rezult is the most customizable bow Elite has ever produced. Aside from all the amazing tuning options brought by Elite engineers for 2020, everything about the draw cycle can be customized to meet personal preferences as well, which makes this section extremely difficult to write. For those who love the high let-off with a rock solid back wall, Elite is continuing to offer that setting. If you like Elite bows for the reasons Elite became popular, the Rezult has the ability to feel like every other Elite a shooter has ever owned. For those preferring a spongier back wall from cable stops, and less let-off, the new Asym Tri Track System can also be set up for that feeling as well. Elite has really expanded its customer base with this cam system, and those not loving the Elite feeling bow in past years, will have the ability to adjust the cams to feel how they prefer. The bow is very well balanced, is pretty lightweight considering an almost 38-inch axle-to-axle measurement at 4.7-pounds, and holds on target exceptionally well. The 2020 Elite Rezult is a legit target bow, and will be seen all over serious archery events this year.

Usage Scenarios

The 2020 Elite Rezult may be the best target bow Elite has ever produced, and that is saying a great deal considering how many great bows they have produced since arriving on the target archery scene. The Rezult has a ton of adjustments, which are easy to make, even without a bow press, and can even be tailored to fit the personal preferences of shooters and their setups. For those on the market for a target bow, without a company offering them a bow or a discounted rig, the Elite Rezult should be a serious contender. This bow feels amazing, and will sure to be a very popular bow on the tournament scene throughout 2020.

Financing Option

The Rezult has an advertised price tag on the Elite site for $1550, which is a ton of money. Even if shooters are winning tournaments year round, if paying full price, it will take a fair amount of top finishes to pay for the cost of the bow alone, without considering the amount of money spent on accessories, arrows, and even getting to the tournaments themselves. Elite has an interesting partnership with Klarna, allowing shooters to finance their bow for a 24 month period. In doing this, the advertised monthly payment for a Rezult would be $73 per month. As with any payment, the overall cost of the bow increases as well, after factoring in interest, of an APR of 9.99%, bringing the total cost to $1752 over two years. This may not be the best option for every shooter, but for others it may be worth considering a payment plan.

Summary

The Elite Rezult is for serious target shooters. This 2020 offering has a lot of really great customization options available for shooters in regards to how the bow feels, and how easily the bow can be tuned for individual arrow and vane configurations without the need to have a bow press handy. The grip, riser, limbs, pockets, and cams are all newly designed to give the absolute best shooting experience possible. The advertised price of $1550 for a bare bow set up is a whole lot of money, even for a target bow that may earn some of that money back by placing towards the top of competitions. However, for those wanting one of the most customizable target bows on the market, the Elite Rezult must be a consideration. The finish options look amazing, the bow performance is great, and the level of tunability without a bow press is an engineering masterpiece. The 2020 Elite Rezult is one of the best target bows made for the 2020 model year, and is worth a shot for anyone on the market for a high end tournament rig.
