Version: 2010 Martin Warthog Mag
Pros: Fairly smooth draw, holds nice, and the arrows go where you want them to, very accurate and forgiving for a speed bow.
Cons: With an advertised IBO speed of 350, I expected 300 from my hunting arrows (about 395gr), but they chrono around 288-289.
It's a nice shooting bow, a little hand shock and noise on the shot, but not bad. Accurate - great all around bow, league, 3D, hunting, this bow does it all nicely. My only problem is an advertised speed that fast should carry over more than it does, my arrows are just shy of 40gr heavier than what is used for IBO, and I have a peep, D loop, and kisser button on my string - but I should be well over 300 fps. My Mathews Vertix was set at 65 lb, and shot the same arrows 307-309, and it's advertised speed is less than the Warthog. I like the bow and have no intention of letting this move me to sell. My message to Martin - advertise what it actually shoots, don't pad the numbers.
Version: 2010 Martin Warthog Mag
Pros: Very fast. Relatively smooth bow with a very nice wall. Easy to use and adjust.
Cons: Not a huge fan of the sliding cable guard.
This bow is easy to get setup and get used to. A very comfortable bow to shoot, with a very nice let off. Personally i think the 70 draw isn't too bad. Not extremely hard to pull back at all. The Boeing has been very tough so far. Put many shots through it and still shoots just the same. I was a little disappointed when i shot it and only got about 290. Of course it was my hunting setup as well with 100 grain tip.
