Check Out Pros & Cons
Pros
Pros
- Flagship-style mounting at a value price - the Integrate Mounting System rest dovetail and a Picatinny sight rail are machined right into the riser, so rests and sights index fast and stay put
- Quiet and genuinely dead in the hand - a hunting arrow reads under 94 decibels and the shot dies into the riser with almost no buzz, quieter than most bows in the mid-price bracket
- Holds its own against far pricier bows - on the range shooters have grouped it right alongside carbon flagships costing three times as much or more
- Roller cable guard comes standard - it cuts the cable wear the old slide could cause and smooths the pull, an upgrade the base Alaskan did not have
- Grows with the shooter - a 25 to 30 inch draw span plus two 15-pound weight modules (45-60 and 55-70) carry a new archer up to a full-weight adult hunter on one bow
- The bare-metal machined grip is thin and low-torque but firmer than Bear's plush Bear Paw rubber - shooters who want a warmer surface on a cold morning can add a slip-on grip for a few dollars
- Sold only through authorized Bear dealers, so it may not turn up at big-box stores - worth a call to a local pro shop rather than expecting to find it on a big retailer's shelf
