Version: 2005 Bowtech Old Glory (Equalizer Cam)
Pros: Smooth Draw, quiet draw, quiet shot. Regular weight. Both deer I shot were pass throughs and the deer hardly even knew he got shot. Used G5 Montecs, never used mechanical with this bow so not sure how it is with those.
Cons: Again this is a bow from 2005, so cant say much bad for the time it was made. Compared to todays bows, doesnt feel like it has a ton of let off or a back wall.
Shot my first 2 bow deer with this bow when I was in middle school. Very quiet draw, super quiet when shot. Was average weight. I upgraded my bow and my uncle still uses that bow to this day (2022) and still slays deer with it. Cant say much bad about this bow for being made in 2005. Bowtech is a great brand and did well with this one. If you find a good deal on this and dont want to buy an expensive newer one I would recommend it to anybody for sure.
Version: 2006 Bowtech Old Glory (Binary Cam)
Pros: Being an avid target and 3-d archer,i was drawn to this bow for the axel length, the speed and the ablility to swap out speed and smooth mods.
Cons: What i did not like about this bow,it didnt seem to have a noticable "dump" when you got to the valley, this was using smooth mods.
This was a great bow for 3-d,it aimed well and had great speed, both the smooth mods and speed mods drew very nice.Very smooth when the shot broke.
There was very little noise when the shot broke, with light 3-d arrows,it was average,if you used indoor target arrows or hunting arrows it would be almost non exsistant.
The problem i had with it,it didnt seem to have a noticable "dump" when it got into the valley, ive tried both smooth and speed mods, couldnt get it to where i wanted it,quite possibly it wasnt tuned right because i shot a friends 06 Old Glory and it felt completely different.
