Athens Ace Review

The Bottom Line: To sum up, the 2016 Ace raises the bar yet again for Athens' USA-precision-built compounds. Appealing to a large variety of archers, having a solid shooting platform with a comfortable draw cycle, and shooting arrows downrange at a very respectable speed are all important characteristics of a bow, and this one both meets and exceeds the qualifications. Partnering the average flagship compound price of $899 along with many color options to choose from at the time of ordering, the Ace deserves a look, as well as a test shot (or dozen) at the local dealer...read full review

Athens Solace Review

The Bottom Line: Athens Archery has stepped its production of compound bows, as well as its already highly valued reputation up a level for this year, especially noticeable in the Solace. Although it may not be throwing arrows downrange at incredible speeds, there are an impressive amount of features with this bow that appeal to archers all around the vast industry. With customizable finish options, a choice of cam systems to suit the archer's needs, high quality craftsmanship, and a heck of a warranty to boot, this compound is worth taking a test shot with at the local dealer. For $850, the rough average price of a flagship bow in the market today, the Solace just may be the bow that fits the bill in any archer's hands...read full review

Athens Accomplice 34 Review

The Bottom Line: The Accomplice 34 is a hands down winner for many shooters. With tons of customization, unique camo patterns, and specifications thriving on the right combination of forgiveness and speed, Athens has done a great job with this bow. The decently priced rig has a lot to offer shooters from any archery background, and the multipurpose shooting potential of the bow is a huge positive for shooters not able to purchase more than one bow. Overall, the Athens Accomplice is a great feeling bow, and deserves a test shot to see if it is the correct choice...read full review

Athens Recluse Review

The Bottom Line: Shooters in the market for a new hunting bow owe it to themselves to test shoot an Athens Recluse. With a fully transferable warranty, shooters have the sound piece of mind they need for a relatively new bow company. Despite some experiencing finish flaws, and a metallic sound after the shot, The Recluse is a great shooter at an even better price. Shooters should check the camo finish before purchasing to make sure it is what they want. The durability is great, but the hydro dipping process can leave some unwanted lines that may bother some shooters. The Recluse has really good shootability characteristics archers will appreciate with fast speeds, a solid back wall, and a forgiving 7-inch brace height. Those wanting a bow not like any other in design and camo patterns can also accessorize their rig with Athens accessories as well. Those wanting a new hunting bow should give the Recluse a shot...read full review

Athens HGO R120 Review

The Bottom Line: The Athens R120 HGO "limited edition" is a 32" axle to axle, 7" brace height, 330+fps IBO arrow flinging machine. A comfortable grip and extreme attention to detail make this the shooter that it is a deadly combination of speed, accuracy and silence. All of the great pieces that Athens put into the R120 a person would believe it to have the same MSRP as some of the larger bow companies but that is not the case, this is a reasonably affordable bow at $799...read full review

Athens Ibex Review

The Bottom Line: The Athens Ibex is a hunters dream; it is blazing fast at 335+fps with a 30" axle to axle all while having a generous 7" brace height. The smooth characteristics will make most people fall in love with how this bow feels and once they shoot it, the love will grow. It's absolutely amazing how quiet this bow can shoot, another reason why this is a hunters dream. You could use it for hunting squirrels, at 30 yards+ and not have them jump the string. With the only findable downside being the draw length specific cams, this bow is something worth looking at for the serious hunter...read full review

Athens Afflixtion Review

The Bottom Line: The Athens Afflixtion is a really great shooting bow that offers ample speeds, a solid back wall, and a transferrable lifetime warranty. With the ability to be a hunting rig and a target bow, many shooters will be drawn to the Afflixtions dual purpose. Despite needing new cams to change the draw length, shooters will be properly fitted at the shop with the best fitting cam for their shooting needs. Weighing in at 4.3 pounds, some shooters will enjoy the added stability caused by a heavier bow while some shooters will find it a bit heavy when compared to other lighter model bows. All in all, the draw cycle on the Afflixtion is worth a test shot for anyone interested in a new bow with a unique look and finish options...read full review

Athens Accomplice 32 Review

The Bottom Line: Athens has been in the archery industry a few years now, and the Accomplice truly shows what the company stands for. With a competitively priced bow displaying high-end craftsmanship, Barnsdale limbs, and a transferrable lifetime warranty the Accomplice has a lot to offer shooters looking to upgrade their hunting rig.
