This bow that Prime has created is loaded with technology and it continues to improve from one bow to the next. It is really nice to shoot with a great draw, nice valley, and 85% let off to hold comfortably in hunting situations. The brace height is also very kind. Prime has created a great shooting bow with some useful technologies not geared toward gimmicks, but truly functional. Cams are draw length specific, but shooters will leave the shop with a bow properly fitted to them so this may not be a huge deal. Although not super fast by today's standards, 330 feet per second is plenty quick and the forgiving 7.25-inch brace height is easy to get used to. For shooters on a budget, the $949 price tag may be a little too much. However, shooters interested in buying a bow that shoots well without factoring in the cost should give the Defy a test shot.
