About Mathews

Mathews Inc. was established in 1992 by Matt McPherson, a very talented, ambitious, and passionate compound bow engineer. The newly created company was located in Austin, Minnesota and only had two employees. In 1995 the company relocated to Sparta, Wisconsin. Interestingly, 30 out of 39 employees moved with the company proving Mathews Inc. is a great place to work at. Fast forward to 2008, and the company employs around 240 employees and is nested in approximately 100,000 square feet of space.

Right from the beginning the main company's motto was "people first, business second". Such culture, supported and embraced by everyone, helped the company achieve a lot of goals and operate the business with customers in mind. That is why Mathews Inc. is respected by customers and produce great quality compound bows. Be it Mathews hunting bows or competition bows, or any other archery accessories many customers can expect great quality and service that requirements.

Mathews has been innovating and improving the archery industry ever since the company was created. In 1992 Mathews Inc. invented the revolutionary Single Cam technology. This invention alone revolutionized the industry allowing for producing faster and more forgiving bows with less noise, recoil, and, maintenance. A lot of single cam bows produced by Mathews are highly efficient and have remarkable performance while being smooth at the same time. Another innovations and improvements include lighter and shorter bows, parallel limb design, string suppressors, slim limbs, quick change axle technology, and so on.
