PSE EVO NXT 33PSE Carbon Air Stealth Mach 1
Summary
Summary review written by our editors.

The 2020 PSE EVO NXT has limited bells and whistles, and is in no way flashy. To many shooters, the lack of marketability and increased buzz around the release of a flagship bow may be a turnoff. However, for shooters basing their decision to purchase based on how a bow feels and shoots, the PSE EVO NXT 33 has a great shot of being very popular. The speeds are not fast, but they are honest real world performance, and that may be better for some shooters. The7-inch brace height is less popular on a hunting bow in 2020, but the added forgiveness may be a feature shooters want to have in their new hunting bow. The longer riser, and more laid back limbs do a phenomenal job of canceling noise and making the bow as vibration free as possible. It would be great to see some more popular finish options as well, but there are a fair amount of choices, and what PSE does offer looks nice. The Evolve cam system is a true piece of engineering genius, and the adjustability passed on to shooters is amazing. The NXT 33 platform has so many options for shooters to add personalized touches to, each setup could have a different feel. For those willing to look past missing flash, the PSE EVO NXT 33 is an outstanding hunting bow with potential to be a multipurpose bow for 3D shooting as well. For a competitive flagship price of $1099, the NXT 33 should be a very popular model for 2020. Read full review...

PSE has done an outstanding job with the Carbon Air Stealth Mach 1 for 2020, by improving every single cricritiquetic shooters of the previous Carbon Air Stealth model had. The Mach 1 is such an awesome shooting bow, it may be the best model in all 2020. The laid back limbs make a huge difference in how the bow feels after the shot, the improved grip design and width is what everyone was asking for, and the shootability of the carbon hunting bow already makes it highly desirable. The Mach 1 is the best carbon bow PSE has ever produced, without a doubt. The almost $1600 price tag is hard to stomach, but carbon has always gotten a premium price point, and with the entire bow being made in house, in America, many shooters are willing to spend a bit more money. It would be nice for a rear mounted stabilizer bushing, but it is hard to believe that would be a deal breaker for anyone looking at the Mach 1 for a hunting bow. The strangest part about the Mach 1 is the advertised speed. For some reason, PSE chose to understate the achievable speeds of the bow, and have the bow shoot faster than advertised speeds. Many shooters like the bow coming in hotter than advertised, but it seems fair to assume potential customers are also turned off by the slow speed ratings and do not even give the Mach 1 a test shot because of it. Regardless, the Carbon Air Stealth Mach 1 is the best shooting carbon bow PSE has ever produced, and anyone interested in a killer, carbon riser hunting bow, should give this a serious consideration.
