Summary
Summary review written by our editors.

This bow is an absolute pleasure to shoot. The technology from G5 is amazing and it puts together a sweet draw cycle. It is truly well rounded and has the attributes to be great at everything a bow can be used for. The comfort level and ease to shoot are second to none. It may not be the fastest bow in its' class, but there is still enough for nearly anything that it would be used for. The Parallel Cams and Flexing Roller cable guard are real highlights. The price tag isn't cheap with an MSRP of $999, but it is all subjective as to whether it is worth the price. Read full review...

Prime has created a great shooting bow with some useful technologies not geared toward gimmicks, but truly functional. Cams are draw length specific, but shooters will leave the shop with a bow properly fitted to them so this may not be a huge deal. Although not super fast by today's standards, 330 feet per second is plenty quick and the forgiving 7.25-inch brace height is easy to get used to. For shooters on a budget, the $949 price tag may be a little too much. However, shooters interested in buying a bow that shoots well without factoring in the cost should give the Defy a test shot.
