Inherited this bow from a lifelong friend, he didn’t like it because it was a little too long for him, he shot a release. It’s a little too short for me, but, I took out some twists in the cables and lengthened the string a little to fit me better, it shoots great, and if it had the correct cams I’m sure it would be one of my favorite bows!

Pros: Quiet, forgiving, stable, fast, reliable
Cons: I don't have any cons. Lack of adjustability doesn't bother me because I don't have a need to adjust anything.
I bought this bow brand new in 2008-09 and I've killed roughly 25 deer with it, several being pope and young caliber. I'm still shooting it in 2020 and have a hard time justifying buying a new bow. It's that good. But when you use something for 10+ years, you become so confident and comfortable with it, you have a hard time letting go. I may just keep it as a back up bow.

I started bow huntin last year and picked this up at a pawn shop for 200$ with everything on it. I have killed multiple small game animals with it and it has performed exceptionally. It is extremely accurate and quiet!

Cons: im 6'6" and have big hands.. the grip on the riser feels like a twig in my hand. interchangeable maybe?
I am new to archery and hunting as far as taking it all seriously. Was handed down a Martin Lynx Magnum a few years ago, but never had the patience to work with it. It still shoots very well with no problems but one, the cams are out of alignment. The Hoyt however.. damn.. love it. everything about it with my limited experience with brands and styles. I cant see spending $800+ on a bow with no features.. so i decided to wait and find this one at a yard sale with 10 gold tip arrows and a quick release.. for a measly $100.

I would say that this is one of the best bows I have shot in my short time hunting. Great draw and even better shot, just ask the doe and 2 fox squirrels I shot this year. The biggest issue I have is the lack of adjustability. The one I bought wasn't quite "perfect" for me and I've had a lot of trouble finding new cams. But overall, awesome bow!!!

I've killed 4 deer with my Vetrix and am still shooting it (in 2010). Deer have been at ranges of 10-41 yds and I've had full pass-throughs on every one. After 20 years of bowhunting and various bows (Bear, Golden Eagle, PSE, Hoyt), this is the smoothest bow I've owned. I'm considering an upgrade, but I think it will be challenging to find the "whole package" again.
