The 2015 Obsession Fusion 6 is basically the new rendition of the Evolution (2014 Flagship bow). The primary difference is the Fusion 6 has a "draw length-specific" cam. This aesthetically pleasing bow was the 2015 flagship bow for Obsession and provided the biggest punch for bows last year. With a 32.25" ATA, 6" brace height (it also comes with a 7" brace height), and kicking out arrows at 356 fps, this is not just a speed bow, but a very fast hunting bow as well.
Finish
This bow comes in Gunmetal with Black cams, or Stormy with Red cams, Black, Realtree Xtra Green, Realtree Max5, Realtree AP Snow, Kryptek Typhoon, Kryptek Highlander, Yeti Hardwoods, Special Ops, Prairie, Natural, Bloodtrail, Royalty, Patriot, Muddy Girl, and Predator. The buyer also has the ability to purchase custom finishes as well.Risers/Limb
The riser for this rig is made from a 7075 Alloy and milled to exacting specs. The overall mass of the bow is 4.1 pounds and has a 32.25" ATA. The design of the riser is not only easy on the eyes, but is very strong and helps eliminate vibration. The string stop and the cable guide reduce any vibration even further, making this rig virtually vibration-free.The Fusion hosts a pair of highly-reflexed, pre-stressed split limbs that come in a variety of weights (40, 50, 60, 65, 70, and 80 pound peak weights) that help create a ton of power. The draw weights are easily adjustable up to ten pounds below peak weight. The limb pockets are a solid construction that is very durable and secure the limbs in place with no unnecessary movement through the draw cycle.Other Components
This bow is designed as a very fast hunting rig. If does not come with a lot of "bells and whistles" right out of the box (if you buy the bare bow). It does, however come with an angled cable rod and a Teflon cable guide that reduced torque and vibration, and Limbsaver limb dampeners. It can also be ordered in a Ready-to-Hunt package that includes rest, peep, sight, quiver, stabilizer, wrist sling, arrows, hard case, broad heads, and release.Eccentric System
This bow utilizes the 1 Fusion DS cam with the PerFX system. This is a draw length-specific system that creates a more efficient bow with slightly more speed. This cam system gives this bow a very smooth draw cycle with no cam-lean or torque. When purchasing this rig, be certain of your draw length as it is not a simple matter of changing a module, but the cam must be changed to adjust the draw length. This also means that in order to change the draw length, for any reason after the initial purchase, the shooter must change the cams. This will cost approximately $80 for the new cams. On the positive side, this cam system offers a buttery smooth draw, very generous valley, solid back wall, 80 percent let-off, and a vibration-free 356 fps IBO. Although the draw length is cam-specific, it can also be fine-tuned using the draw stop. A test bow set at 65# and 29.5 inches draw, shooting a 320 grain bare shaft arrow, consistently hit 343 fps.Draw Cycle/Shootability
This bow is very smooth throughout the draw cycle with no unexpected bumps and jerks. For a speed bow, there is virtually no vibration at the shot, and the bow is very well balanced. It also holds in the valley very well. Some shooters have even stated they almost had to push the string forward in order to let off of the draw. From the moment shooters pick up this bow, they are surprised at how well the grip fits the hand, the ease of the draw, and the feel and accuracy of the shot.Silencing Package
This is a rig that is quiet right out of the box. The inherent design features that reduce noise and vibration are further helped with the angled cable rod with the Teflon guide, and the built-in string stop with the soft rubber cap. The rig also has Limbsaver limb dampeners.Grip
As with most of the Obsession bows, this rig has the slimmer grip with wood-laminate inserts that help reduce torque. Competition shooters really appreciate this grip, and hunters find it very comfortable as well.Compared to Similar Bows

Speed bows are usually not very good for hunting. They are normally loud and do not have a draw cycle conducive to hunting bows. The Fusion 6 is very similar to the Bowtech RPM 360. The Obsession is slightly longer than the Bowtech (1.35") and can have an 80# set of limbs, and the Obsession offers an extra 1/2" draw length. Both of these bows are fast, quiet, and excellent hunting rigs. The primary difference in these bows is that one is made by a more prominent name in the business, and one is made by an up and coming team that has already made waves in the pool of bigger named bow companies. You will do yourself a disservice if you do not give Obsession a try.
