Editors' review
The Obsession Final Pro X3T is a flat out awesome target bow on paper. Shooters will love the 38-inch axle-to-axle measurement combined with the 7 ⅛-inch brace height, and speeds up to 330 feet per second. The bow weighs in at only 4.5-pounds, which gives shooters all kinds of options for adding stabilizer weight where they want it without making the bow too heavy as a final product. The cams are modular adjusted, which means shooters will need new modules in order to change draw lengths, but it can be done without a press. The back wall is amazing for those that like a solid back wall, but some shooters may not like how solid it is when holding on target. Obsession also went to great lengths to offer a highly customized look to this new target bow with 31 riser colors, 18 limb choices, 9 string colors, and 3 cams straight from the factory. For those wanting a truly personalized bow, Obsession is offering exactly that. This Final Pro X3T is jam packed with Obsession technology and has a suggested retail price of on $1099, which is very inexpensive compared to other high end target rigs for 2019. This bow has everything target guys could want, and deserves serious consideration for anyone looking for a new rig in 2019.

All of these options allow shooters to really choose exactly what they want, and it is an awesome job by Obsession to have so many cool looking options available. The entire dipping process is well executed, leaving the final product fully covered in a long lasting pattern of their choosing. There are no other companies offering what Obsession does, and it is truly amazing to have so many choices.
Riser
The overall axle-to-axle measurement on the Final Pro X3T is 38-inches, which is a nice stable platform for a target bow. The FX Riser design is Obsession's take on combining performance and accuracy. The riser looks exactly like the rest of the Obsession hunting bows, just in a stretched out version to make the 38-inch measurement. In addition to that, the brace height is 7 ⅛-inches, and has a bare bow weight of only 4.5-pounds.The Obsession cable containment system is known as the Torqueless Angled Cable Rod. Obsession claims this cable containment system helps increase arrow speed while reducing the torque placed on the riser as the bow reaches full draw. The cables are in what looks like an old school slide system, but it is slotted allowing the cables to make their way more toward the centerline of the bow. The aluminum riser also features a standard stabilizer bushing on the front of the riser for shooters to fine tune how their target rig is going to feel. In addition to that, Obsession has added rear facing stabilizer bushings as well to truly give shooters the best options for balancing their rigs. Also mounted to the rear of the riser is an adjustable string stop system. Again, this system allows shooters to fine tune the exact feel they would like their bow to have after the shot.
Grip
The Obsession Final Pro X3T comes with a side plated Torqueless Custom grip. These grips are integrated into the riser with side plates, which can be removed if desired. The side plates do not add a whole lot in terms of fit and comfort, but the wooden plates do help the bow look a bit more premium. The professionally designed torqueless custom grips are made to give shooters the absolute best, most consistent hand placement possible. Shooting accurately starts with a great grip, and Obsession puts their shooters in a great spot having these grips offered on their Final Pro X3T.
Limbs
The Obsession split limbs are made to the best of specifications. They are also available in peak weights of 40, 50, 60, 65, and 70-pounds. Throw in the 18 different finishes offered on the limbs, and it is fair to say Obsession makes something for every shooter on the market. The Obsession limbs also come out of the box Axion Dampeners for an even quieter shot.Obsession uses what they call an FX Limb Pocket for the Final Pro X3T. This limb is a 3-piece design used to hold the riser and limbs together. These pockets are lightweight and strong providing a zero tolerance system for the best accuracy possible while minimizing cam lean.
Eccentric System
For most shooters, the Final Pro X3T will be powered by the OB Trax cam. This will give shooters a draw length range of 28-33.5-inches. That is not a typo, the Final Pro X3T goes all the way out to 33.5-inches in draw length. For shorter draw shooters, the ST 2T cam is available in draw lengths of 26-27.5-inches. That gives the Final Pro X3T 7.5-inches between the two cam offerings, which again means about any shooter will fit into this rig. The cams are modular cams, which means shooters will need a new set of modules if they are interested in changing the draw length. However, the cams do not require a press to adjust the draw length, which means shooters will spend less time on a press and more time fine tuning arrow flight. The OB Trax cam gives shooters an 85% let-off and an absolutely rock solid limb spot aided back wall, with an IBO speed rating of 330 feet per second.
Draw Cycle/Shootability
The Final Pro X3T feels like other bows in the Obsession lineup. The cams have an Obsession familiar draw cycle, the riser looks and performs like the rest of the Obsession lineup, and the speeds are reasonable for the size of the bow. The cams draw effortlessly, and the 85% let-off feels amazing. The limb stop draw stops gives the Final Pro X3T one of the most solid back walls imaginable as well. Some target shooters will not like the high let-off and solid back wall based on personal preference and wanting a little more holding weight or spongier back wall. However, those wanting a higher let-off and a solid back wall will love how this bow feels. The 38-inch axle-to-axle measurement is pretty long, but the bow still only weighs 4.5-pounds, which is lightweight for a target rig, and it balances pretty great without any accessories added. The release of the arrow has a typical shot sound as the arrow leaves the string, but has limited, if any vibration, and the arrow speeds up to 330 feet per second is respectable as well. The bow holds exceptionally well on target, and the string angle allows shooter's heads to be perfectly upright without having to move to get the string in the corner of their mouth and tip of their nose. The high let-off and firm back wall are the two major bonuses and potential negatives of the Final Pro X3T. It mainly depends on what shooters want their rig to feel like on the back end as to whether or not the bow will be a winner for each target shooter.
Usage Scenarios
The The 2019 Obsession Final Pro X3T is a target bow. This rig was designed with a 38-inch axle-to-axle measurement, and has speed and shootability characteristics making it a great rig for spot shooting or 3D. With that being said, the OB Trax cam goes all the way out to 33.5-inches in draw length, which means it is one of the few bows on the market that extend that long. Although 38-inches is a beastly bow for a treestand or ground blind, if it is the only bow shooters can fit in, they may want to use it for hunting as well. Granted, the bow was designed as a target bow, but having it in the timber may be an option for those shooters large enough to not have many bows to choose from.
